BREAKING: CDC Acknowledges Lyme Disease More Common Than Previous Estimates

Breaking news!

The CDC finally admits that Lyme disease cases are much higher than previously reported.

In fact, there are 10 times the amount of new cases per year than reports suggest = 300,000 new cases per year!

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m NOT excited that there are thousands more people infected than originally recognized, with this awful disease as well as other tick-borne illnesses- it only makes me more angry and upset that there are that many more people going through the things I’m going through; and I am only that much more passionate and motivated to get the word out and help others!

I am excited because the CDC is acknowledging that their statistics are flawed because many, including the Lyme disease film, “Under Our Skin”  knew this many, many years ago- but with Lyme being so controversial, it took them this long to shed light on this issue!

I am hoping the CDC will take something positive out of this negative situation, such as creating Lyme Disease Committees in all states, cities and towns (states such as Virginia & Massachusetts have them in their larger cities, addressing the epidemic), spending more money on research, how to prevent tick bites and of course, a cure.
